The Hambleton Hills are visible from this room, and the dark Fornasetti wallpaper makes this a dramatic but relaxing room.
Local brewers, Cameron, owned The Tontine from the 1940’s – 1970’s and this exotic floral bedroom celebrates their contribution to our history. The four-poster bed and fantastic ‘egg’ chairs make a dramatic statement while the elegant bathroom completes this unique room.
This stunning, split-level room is named after the famed explorer, spy, archaeologist and traveller Gertrude Margaret Lowthian Bell. Born nearby, Miss Bell was a regular visitor to Mount Grace Priory, just half a mile from The Cleveland Tontine.
This room’s walls are adorned with wallpaper designed by award winning local designer Deborah Bowness and sets the perfect contemplative. Its staircase leads to a stylish bathroom in the eaves, with a double shower and free-standing bath.
Classically decorated with soft colours, leather chairs and traditional wooden furniture the Tontine is a wonderfully relaxing and restful room overlooking our gardens. The beautiful bathroom has separate bath and shower.
